I Bought A Car...Tomorrow

I've been thinking about what sort of car I want for several months. I've gone back and forth between Ford Focus and Toyota Corolla. I wasn't really happy with either of those for various reasons. I finally decided that I was going to have to pay a little more to get the car I want. Mom and I went car shopping today and I found the car I want. It is a 2006 Nissan Sentra with 20,300 miles. Not tons of bells and whistles but it drives nicely and I think I'll like it. Fern is processing my loan right now and it should be ready for tomorrow. Then, I'll have my own car. I'm excited but not looking forward to a monthly car payment.

I'm Back

After a month in Thailand and Cambodia, I'm back. It was a great trip. I got to see people I love, explore Angkor Wat, snorkel in the Andaman Sea, ride elephants, eat Thai food, sweat like a pig... Here are a couple of the pictures I took. I promise there are more to follow.

Minnesota

This will be a very short post. If you want details, you can go to my parents' blog or Nick and Lachelle's blog. Minnesota was a fun trip. We were gone 1.5 weeks. Included in the fun were Nick's law school graduation, a free zoo, the corn palace, mount rushmore, the badlands, yellowstone. The top two pictures were taken in the badlands and the third in yellowstone.
I leave for Thailand in 1.5 hours. It will be awesome to go back. Hopefully Tom made it there okay.

I'll be eating this. ส้มตำ Som Tam. It is Isan food. Really spicy and about as good as it gets. If you are going to Thailand, prepare yourselves for this. อร่อยมากๆ

Another Weekend in Utah

I didn't take nearly enough pictures. It was a good weekend. I ate sushi with Ashley and Havilah, met up with mission friends, checked out my maybe future apartment, sang in the Thai/Laos branch in SLC, met my principal again and saw my classroom, watched Veer and Zaara, collected rocks with Avery, Aidan, and Natalie, had a roommate reunion with Rogers 97. It was good. Real good.
