I've got some new hiking boots to break in. I took them on their first hike today and they performed very well.
Avery and Aidan were very excited for the hike.
Lucy missed her nap and was not quite as excited.
Avery helped all of us come up with hiking nicknames and then, in true Avery style, never forgot any of them and forced us to use them while hiking. Natalie was Hiker Jazzy Jazz. I was Hiker Em. Avery was Smiley Hiker. Aidan was Fast Face. Lucy was Hiker Baby.
Car Faces.
Little Cottonwood Canyon. Most of my time spent in this canyon has been in the winter on snowshoes. I was pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the foliage.
We hiked up to Lisa Falls. Honestly, it wasn't much of a hike (about 10 minutes), but it was good for the kids. Unfortunately, it was hard to get a view of the waterfall and people at the same time so you'll have to see them separately.
Lisa Falls.
I love my family and look forward to many more hikes with them (and anyone else who wants to go hiking).
