Family Times in April and Early May 2015

Me and L goofing around downstairs.

A made her first meal, and then we ate it. So proud of her.

While in Boise for Spring Break, I decided to pull out the love letters that my grandpa wrote to my grandma while they were living in separate states in 1953 and 1954. They are the sweetest things ever. The above is taken from the ward bulletin. I should really publish the entire ward bulletin. It provided hours of entertainment for me. Bulletins are just so bland nowadays.

All of the letters spread out on the floor so they could be put in order.

L tries her hand at snapping some pictures. My dad first.

 Then M's turn.

I've mentioned it before, but I really love how much M adores my dad. That picture is just so sweet.

One of the reasons I always try to be home for Easter is the Easter egg hunt. Watching kids hunt for gets never grows old.

 Precious.

I can't get enough of this kid. He is almost three and he is adorable about 98% of the time. Luckily, his parents get to deal with him during that 2% and not me.

While the adults decorated for Mom's surprise birthday party, Mom and I took the grandkids to Monkey Kingdom. We had the entire theater to ourselves.

There were actually several more than this.

So many people came to support my mom at her surprise birthday party. N and L did an incredible job planning and executing everything. It was a fun evening, and even though being outside wasn't in the plan, it worked out perfectly. Happy birthday, Mom! You are loved by so many people, but none love you more than your family!

Meet my friends K, C, and E. I met them in my single's ward about four years ago. It's a good thing, too because they are some of my favorite people in the ward. C and E decided to quit their jobs and go on a four month road trip around the United States. They are both super artistic and take photos. If you're interested in following their adventures, you can find them on Instagram.

A Decade

I headed to my one of my favorite temples on Saturday, May 9 to celebrate 10 years as an endowed member of the church. I received my endowment in the Boise Temple on May 10, 2005. I am so grateful for that experience and the many experiences I've had in the temple since. One of the things that I will miss most while I'm in Thailand is being able to attend the temple on a weekly basis. It is my refuge and one of my happy places.

No details. Sorry! But enjoy the pics. It was an amazing trip. And I love my mom.
